5 Things That Are Wrong with Feminism-- Introduction

In my ongoing discussion with Jennifer from Hope for America, I thought I’d write a post about some of the things that are wrong with feminism. I could go on all night about this topic, but I though I’d just pick five topics at random.

I wrote this post in response to JJ’s comment:

The only reason you hate feminists so much is because they won reproductive rights for women. That's the *only* reason.

I do not say I hate feminists. But I do hate feminism.

And my opposition to feminism is not based only on its opposition to fetal rights.

My opposition is far broader in scope. As I said to JJ, if the abortion debate were to disappear tomorrow, there would be ample reason for me to be fundamentally opposed to feminism.

And to illustrate, I thought I’d put forward some of the things I think are wrong with feminism. They do not deal directly with the abortion issue.

I decided to make them into five separate posts. I’m sorry for the length. But I could go on all night about what I think is wrong with feminism. It’s not just about abortion, although that is a huge pet peeve with me. It’s the underlying attitudes and philosophy of feminism that I find completely objectionable.

Apologies to Jennifer for the length. It's the nature of such discussions that not all points can ever be covered.

Nonetheless, I felt I needed to get some things on the table.

5 Things Wrong with Feminism:

#1 It minimizes the difference between men and women

#2 Its post-modern philosophy

#3 Its dependency on socialist big government and tax-payer funded institutions

#4 Its over-weaning sense of entitlement to impose behaviours and ideas

#5 Women’s achievements must always be equal to men’s achievements.
