Michael Ignatieff showed up at Kathy Shaidle's doorstep while he was campaigning. When she spoke of free speech issues:
Ignatieff became very thoughtful and interested. He clearly knew what we were talking about, and said he believed that "hate speech" complaints should be heard in criminal court and not the HRCs.
My question: if it came to a vote, would he stand up for free speech? Would he eliminate HRC's? Would he repeal Section 13.1?
Not that I'd vote for him either. I have to go with a fetal rights candidate. Still, free speech would factor in, if no such candidate existed.
